Video Transcript:
I’m often asked, “When I file for bankruptcy, does that require me to go to court?”
The answer is, “yes,” but don’t be afraid, I will be right there by your side.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy both require one court appearance. It’s a simple 341 hearing, it’s a meeting of your creditors.
The bankruptcy Trustee assigned to your case will have already received all of your documents that we prepared on your behalf.
You simply show up, state your name for the court record, and you are asked simple “yes” or “no” questions based on the documents that we already filed with the court.
We do a very thorough job, as long as you can remember your name…you pass.
